A privacy-safe Identity Resolution company building trust between people and brands, FullContact delivers the capabilities needed to create tailored customer experiences by unifying data and applying insights in the moments that matter.

I had the opportunity to work on the team that reimagined the FullContact brand. I helped lead the visual direction and creative vision of the rebrand by collaborating with talented designers, video producers, copywriters, marketers, and strategists.

 
 

The brief

To help FullContact refine its vision, develop a brand strategy, a visual identity, and a voice and tone. To transform a website with too many pages and a confusing architecture into a simple, well-structured, and elegantly designed digital home for the FullContact brand.

Brand positioning

FullContact has always valued transparency and human connection over all else. Co-founders, Bart and Travis, started FullContact as a way to help people organize their address books so that they could build better relationships. Since then, FullContact has expanded beyond contact management to become a leader in Identity Resolution and a steward of data privacy.

Based off this insight, we developed relevant brand positioning, brand building blocks, a brand manifesto, a differentiators framework, and a brand guarantee.

Visual Identity

The new brand includes foundational elements like a refreshed logo, new logo mark, color palette, and a unique illustration style.

The original logo served the company well for almost a decade, but we felt it was time to update it to a logo mark that better represents where FullContact is heading as a company. It was time to evolve and look to the future--with a look of the future.

After many rounds of exploring logo options, we crafted a logo that represents the modern relationship between people and brands. A 1 and 0 flipped to form the silhouette of a person, signifying that what’s beneath the data is a real person with hopes, dreams, insights, and preferences.

Bringing it to life

We also created a suite of on-brand marketing and sales materials including a sales deck of over 100 brand-approved slides that employees can use to create their own custom deck; a google docs template library with 3 different template styles for easy document creation; a business card portal through moo.com for convenient business card ordering; and more.

The website redesign

While working on creating various elements from brand positioning, to visual style guides, and even a brand essence video with real actors filmed at several locations around Colorado, we also overhauled fullcontact.com completely from scratch. The new website is now more streamlined so that content is easier to find. We put a lot of emphasis on our privacy-safe products and how they benefit both companies and people.

Since launch in December 2019, we've added many new features and pages including:
  • An expanded navigation using a mega menu

  • A new page for each of our nine solutions

  • A brand new home page featuring an explainer video that we produced and launched in October 2020

  • An interactive module for users to easily flip through various curated data collections
