I realize I've been posting many pictures of my Botanical Gardens visits on my Facebook & Instagram lately. But how can you blame me!? There is so much beauty kept there; it allows me to step outside of the bubble of life and appreciate nature. I'm sure many can relate in their own way.
I've never hated winter, a lot of people you'll talk about the snow and they'll say, "Ugh! I hate the cold! I can't wait for summer!" Maybe it's just because I was born in the middle of December, but that hasn't ever been my story. So when I asked my boyfriend to please, please, please come with me to the New York Botanical Gardens the day after a snowstorm, I was so excited to see that he was actually excited to go as well.
When we arrived, the park had a beautiful coat of white cottony snow and there were dozens of people there visiting a children's attraction in the conservatory. Since we were looking for peace, we strayed from the crowd and walked through the snowy forest admiring the beauty that winter brings to us each year. Here are a few shots from the day:
