The past few days have been crazy and quiet, stormy yet calm. I think we've finally locked in our new apartment, which is actually a townhouse. We really wanted a house but this will have to do for the time being since we're cutting it so close to our lease ending here. The days have been pretty mellow other than that and, because of that, you get visuals instead of words.
Observe the wonders as they occur around you. Don't claim them. Feel the artistry moving through and be silent. / Rumi
A poem begins as a lump in the throat, a sense of wrong, a homesickness, a lovesickness. / Robert Frost
If I had a flower for every time I thought of you, I could walk through my garden forever. / Alfred Tennyson
See? Pretty mellow.
I've only been here for about 6 weeks so I can't really make any definitive statements but that's definitely the vibe out here, mellow. Even different than California, just relaxed and a little bit quiet. When I first got here, I was like "Am I losing my hearing? Where is all the noise!" and then I realized that the noise pollution in New York is just THAT much worse. I hope to update more about what's going on with us once we're moved into our new place and settled!
